Artwork description:

The cockerel and hens linocut was inspired by my love of poultry and fowl, and the individual characters of each of these birds. I love how they scratch around the garden eating insects, grubs and tiny scraps. Cockerels are always very proud of themselves, and strut around importantly while the hens get on with laying and caring for the eggs.
I feel the linocut technique lends itself very well to these beautiful birds, in being able to express their intricate decorative feathers and bold stature.
