'Coastal Path To Putsborough' was inspired by a route I have often walked while on holiday in North Devon. It is a landscape I feel connected to, a place I have spent many summers. The view in the painting shows the National Trust owned headland of Baggy Point in the distance, and the golden sands of Putsborough which sits at the western end of Woolacombe Bay. I have tried to capture a feeling of descending down the lane, seeing the glorious view before it becomes shrouded by the deep, high hedgerow.
This painting is an oil on board. I would like to point out that I cut the board out myself in my studio and the edges are a little bit rough but this will not show once framed.
It measures 25.5 x 19cms approx.
