Original artwork description:

Highway 1 is my most favorite scenic drive in the world. I usually start my trip from Monterey going south along the coast, stopping often to take in the views of rugged canyons, austere windswept cypress trees, fog-shrouded cliffs and the crashing surf of the Pacific Ocean.
My inspiration for painting this quintessential coastal California scene of grazing cows against the backdrop of rocky reefs and the Pacific surf, was the atmosphere, softened by the golden light on a warm fall day.

Materials:
Oil on Premium Oil Primed Centurion DLX Linen artist panel. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. Unframed, requires a frame to hang.
