Original artwork description:

C’mon and dance

Acrylic ink on acid free Faber-Castell watercolor paper 180gm,
14 x 10.5 in., 35 x 26.6 cm
Based on a pencil sketch of the same. Pencil sketch done on location, inside the clubs, surrounded by jostling crowds and working in dim light. The people were not really posing, just being themselves, an amazing sketching exercise.
The many sketches, and a few pieces done in ink, form a series all done between 1999 and 2000 in various nightclubs in Singapore. I did greatly enjoy this project back then. Good music, good people who responded positively to what I was doing. It’s not everywhere one gets such nice response.
Close up picture shows the brush work. The photo of me is the only one from then that remains with me today!
The pencil sketch may also be available.
