Original artwork description:

Acrylic on Aluminium.

I wanted to complete a more feminine 'planet' so named this one after the goddess of love and beauty, Venus which has become nearly synonymous with "woman" in popular culture.

Inspired by the NASA Hubble Space Telescope ultraviolet-light image of the planet and the composite image of the cloud-coverage from the Japanese probe Akatsuki.

It's understood that “Venus is the paradise planet,” above the clouds.

Painted on a large circular panel, I hope this piece of art being a little bit of paradise to the viewer.

Materials used:

Gloss medium and acrylic paints
