This beautiful golden snowstorm over the Sound of Raasay is one of my latest works made on the clifftops of Skye.

'Cloudborn' captures a fleeting, majestic moment over the Sound of Raasay, where the vast Scottish sky and sea meet in a quiet, timeless dance. A towering golden cloud drifts across the horizon, illuminated by shifting light, casting a warm glow over the dark waters below. The scene is both dramatic and ethereal, a reflection of the wild, untamed beauty of the Isle of Skye’s coastal landscapes.

In this piece, I wanted to convey the sheer power and serenity of the elements—how the sky, ever-changing, can feel both grounding and limitless. Soft golds, muted greys, and deep golden tones blend together in an impressionistic style, inviting contemplation and a sense of escape.

About My Work
I am passionate about luxury papers/canvases that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special large prints of my work I use beautiful museum quality Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.

There are two options, either have the canvas stretched over a simple wooden frame or float frame with frame to match the colours in the image.
