Close Up Magic

I had a friend who could do 'Close up Magic' and it was amazing how this would draw people in, he would create a sense of engagement and excitement, I thought that this was a good metaphor for falling in love, the sense of being mesmerised, living in an illusion of reality.


My painting combines internal and external motivations; the method is to create compositions in a collage technique guided more by an internally motivated
chemistry than an externally motivated existing narrative.

However, the story I want to visualise is about how love transcends the mundane everyday experience of life; love explodes into our world unexpectedly and brings about an internal transformation that manifests itself outwardly as we find new purpose in life.
