The "body" series is an extension of the series "sculpture sur tache"
here treated with acrylic and on canvas. It deals with the body, the nude from a brush jet, a stain.
Here the body is evoked more than figurative; the result gives an impression of alteration of the image by chance and time, like a damaged fresco. Jankelevich’s phrase echoes my work perfectly "It is in the unfinished that life is allowed to settle"
The theme of this painting is dear to me, I like to evoke, as here, the part of our childhood that remains to us.
