Artwork description:

On the eastern side of the island of Noss, Shetland, gleaming cliffs rise straight up to a height of 180 metres. Seen close to from the sea, the view is dizzying. Diving on shoals of fish, gannets plunge like machine gun fire into the sea. Noss is home to thousands of sea birds and besides gannets may be seen guillemots, fulmars, kittiwakes and arctic skuas. In summer months it's possible to join a boat trip from Shetland's capital, Lerwick, to cruise around the islands of Bressay and Noss. The boat rolls delightfully as it wanders alongside cliffs so close one could almost reach out and touch. I have never travelled beyond Europe but for me, this is the best place on the planet.

This is a relief print pulled from a sheet of engraved rubber. All materials used are of high quality. Please feel free to contact me to put a question or make a remark.
