Cley next the Sea (or, Anglo-Saxon Clæg "clay") is a village on the River Glaven in Norfolk. I painted this canvas after a walk to the coastal paths. The levee's were exploding yellow with cow parsley and buttercups while the wetlands below were filled with reeds reflecting the afternoon sun.
