Painting of a man in process of sniffing a cork, as part of wine tasting and wine appreciation.

Painted with acrylic paints on 3D canvas, using a variety of techniques to create lots of texture on the face and hands, which stand out in contrast to the smoother painted background and clothes. Finished with satin varnish. Sides painted to allow hanging without a frame. Pitons and cord at the back ready to hang.

This work has been repaired, which is invisible from the front. See photo - the repair on back is much larger than the actual tear.
