This is an abstract portrait. Clarisse is a person who exists only in my mind. She is carefree, intelligent, and a little scatterbrained! I would say my greatest influence is Willem Dekooning. I like the fact that he painted without rules. This is challenging because we are taught to stay inside the lines. It is only when I let the art spill over the edge that I feel creative.
