Reality and fiction also merge in this surreal cityscape from my “City Dreams” series. The explosion of color in the very abstract canyon of houses seems to let the water of the calm seascape behind it into the city. When you look at the picture, your gaze is drawn from the agitated foreground to the calming horizon. For me, the picture and the title express my longing for peace and nature in the often hectic and stressful city life.
The painting was exhibited in solo exhibitions in Göttingen and Bad Hersfeld in 2023 and at the ARTe Konstmesse in Constance in 2024.
It has a narrow shadow gap frame made of black and blue glazed wood. Of course, you can also purchase the picture with a different frame color or without a frame at a lower price. In addition, the sides of the picture are painted so that it can also be hung without a frame. The picture is signed on the front and back and is ready to hang. The surface of the painting has a varnish coating with UV protection.
