Original 3d map and gold leaf collage.

Individually hand-collaged dots using vintage maps, atlases and gold leaf.

This 3D paper and wood collage was made by taking tiny pieces of maps and world atlases from my archive. The coloured pieces of map have been hand layered onto a wood panel, the wood panel is then laser cut into 18mm dots and assembled into this geometric circle of dots composition to include a scattering of gold leaf dots.

Framed in a black box frame with a UV perspex glaze.
