Original artwork description:

Circle of Friends is a conceptual painting that explores the relationships that we encounter in our lives. The organic background circles represent lives that go on around us, but never connect with us, while the solid circles that cascade in the foreground represent those who touch us in different ways. The gold circles shine for those that bring love and laughter into our world, while the black circles represent those who, for whatever reason, cast a dark shadow over the sun.

This painting has been created on beautiful Two Rivers handmade watercolour paper, which has a natural texture and gives a unique finish to the paint. The background is painted with artists' quality watercolour paints and the circles are painted with Indian ink and water-soluble gold powder.

The painting measures approximately 18" X 14" and has a 1" border all round to allow for framing. It will require mounting and framing behind glass to protect its delicate surface.

Every effort has been made to reproduce the colours exactly as the painting, but individual monitor settings can cause slight variations.

Materials used:

Two Rivers Handmade watercolour paper, watercolour paint, water-soluble gold paint, Indian ink - all professional quality materials.
