Christmas roses grow in my garden but I bought a pot of them in a shop in Haworth as a keepsake when I visited the Bronte Parsonage Museum. I love winter and spring flowers and these little blooms grew happily, brightening my studio. This is a small canvas and a simple composition with a lovely vibrant pink as the background colour, incorporating dainty winter jasmine. It is painted on a deep box canvas.

I framed this picture myself in my studio. I used a hand mitre saw and the frame is a plain white slip. The frame has a hand finished quality. The painting can be sold unframed upon request.
