It is Christmas Day and all is still on this London street, a corner of tranquility, timeless and joyfully cosy. Snow is thick on the pavement and a few decorations hang. In the crisp cold I can smell roasting meat, baking pies and fresh coffee. A faint hum of traffic and the crystal sound of classical music. It is private, the scenes indoors a mystery. This small work is rich in texture and colour. It is a perfect gift and an ideal collection starter. It is deep enough to hang without a frame if wished.
