In my artwork, "Choose Wisely Cinderella," I present Cinderella with the opportunity to take control of her own destiny. Traditionally confined to the expectations and constraints of her fairy tale, Cinderella is often portrayed as the passive recipient of fate. However, in this piece, a dynamic shift occurs. When viewed from one perspective, the observer is confronted with the iconic glass and uncomfortable shoes extended towards Cinderella. Yet, from the opposite angle, a different scene unfolds—Cinderella confidently holds her chosen pair of athletic shoes, symbolizing her agency and individuality.

This composition encourages viewers to reconsider the narrative, allowing Cinderella the freedom to make her own choices. The juxtaposition of the classic fairy tale elements with the contemporary representation of self-determination aims to inspire reflection on autonomy and personal decision-making. "Choose Wisely Cinderella" playfully challenges the conventional storyline, inviting audiences to embrace the empowering notion that everyone, even fairy tale characters, deserves the opportunity to shape their own destinies.
