Original artwork description:

For those in the UK and down under, you'll remember Cadbury's Roses as chocolates that were marketed as a thank you of sorts and with a catchy song that you'll never forget!

I came across a prompt recently for artworks that was 'Food not Bombs' I'd had this idea for a collage for a while but was spurred on when I saw the suggestion.

Wouldn't the world be a better place if we swapped nice things to drop on people instead of bombs.

The background is constructed from 3 vintage pages, with a slight noticeable join in the sky above the smaller plane. Retro sweets have been carefully cut from old magazines and arranged landing in a big splash to bemused onlookers.

This piece was too large for my scanner so the image is a photograph which may not entirely do it justice, but then I always think you can't beat seeing something in person!

The whole assembled art has been mounted onto acid free black paper for stability before further mounting onto A3 size, off white acid free paper which gives a small margin of between 2 and 2.5cm. You could use an off the shelf A3 frame or go for more impact with a larger mount and frame.

Receive this tissue wrapped and packaged in many layers of double wall cardboard for a safe journey and with tracking for peace of mind.

Materials used:

Vintage and new paper + acid free glue
