This is a painting inspired by my grandfather whom I never met or knew much about: my grandfather was an respected artist scholar back in China, He died there before I was born. During my first visit to China, one day I was visiting a ancient garden and all of a sudden I felt my grandfather 's presence with me. I had this feeling I was following his foot steps on the path of this garden and as an artist in life.
