Original artwork description:
Painted on-site at the Iris Garden of the MN Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, MN. Features a couple of blooming iris flowers of the variety named "China Dragon" with golden orange petals and brilliant orange beards. The central flowers are accented by surrounding purple irises. The running and dripping effects of the blue, indigo, and lavender background are created with water-based casein paint glazed over with oil. The flowers are painted with both brush and palette knife, and the petal shapes are enhanced by the texture of the paint.
Painted in oil over casein on board. Framed in a 2.5" wide wood frame with a dark cherry finish and black ridged outer edge. May also be purchased unframed.
