Original artwork description:

“The Untouchable” series is based on the idea of subjects we are told to avoid, due to taboo or fear,,,, so, may I introduce “China Crisis”, a sculpture based on the 1 child policy (now in remission) and the subject of world population, plus control through fear and prejudice, rather than education and liberation.
I seal the figures under glass domes (imprison them) so they can never be touched again but can be seen in all their splendor ---- a mirage of what is really there.
They have now become one of my “untouchables”, which I create from discarded materials. I dress my figures in treated lead and embellish with what I feel, is an encrusted patina of richness. All my works are an addition of one. I work in series', blocks of work defined by an idea, followed by materials to match.

Mixed media including doll parts, paint, beads, found objects. Sculpture is encased within a glass dome.
