Original artwork description:

As I draw my image I try to abstract and distort it as much as I can. During the painting process I attempt to bring it back to reality. Sometimes it doesn’t come back far enough and remains too ‘cartoony’, sometimes it comes back too far and is too ‘realistic’. I feel a painting has been a success when it has the juxtaposition of each and straddles both the real and fantastic realm.

Materials used:

Oil on Canvas
