This is the first of three pastel drawings that I did “en plein air” at a beautiful spot high in the YangMing Mountain range in Taipei City, Taiwan. It was a beautifully hot day and my wife and I were enjoying the views and hiking in this area called ChinTian-Gan. As the sun was setting I drew three pastel drawings of the ever changing landscape and colours of the sky. The small pagoda on the side of the facing mountain caught my eye and made a perfect silhouette against the bright sky. This picture was done just before the sun had gone down. I like the fact that all three pictures have a different feeling even though they were done at the same place on the same day. I tried to keep this picture quite simple and liked the way the bare paper above and below the image can give the feeling of misty mountains with the high peaks standing out above the clouds.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
