Chimera is a fantasy-style painting painted in acrylic on coated cotton canvas stretched over wood.

In shades of red, purple and black with fillets of white and yellow, it evokes a black crow-like bird that has adopted the variegated plumage of a bird coloured red and yellow and the beak of a toucan, a bird that lives in the warm regions of South America.

The theme of imitation here breaks free from the laws of physics, where only genetics and mutation could produce such chimeras.
