Original artwork description:

This is an original artwork, painted with acrylic paints. The sides of the canvas are painted and it's ready to hang. I always use 1.5" thick gallery wrapped cotton canvas for its durability and its 3D effect. The canvas is stretched over high quality pine wood frames and stapled on the back providing a clean finish on the sides. Since the sides are painted, the painting can be left unframed for the contemporary look.

This painting is called Child's Perspective. In this painting a little boy is mesmerized by a lady bug. The lady bug is presented much larger than in reality to bring an emphasis on children's curiosity. I like to explore the subject of children and childhood in my paintings. My goal is to capture the transient nature of childhood and all the vulnerabilities inherent in it.
