‘May we never lose our wonder’ is the title of a song I love and I thought it appropriate for the feelings as I walked in nature that sparked this small painting. It is one of a series of small paintings with a musical and lyrical theme. I use cold wax with the oil paint as I love the way I am able to make several layers that can be translucent which in this one gives an ephemeral feel to the painting. Layers of collage in the under layers also give extra texture. The painting is ready to hang and is framed in a grey-white box frame which will also stand on a shelf if that is preferred.
