This is one of a collection of 8 Oil Pastel on Black Paper drawings completed on a recent trip to Chihshang, Taitung in the south of Taiwan. It is a very special and peaceful area with the largest concentration of rice fields in the country surrounded by high steep mountains. One section of the area is called Mr. Brown Boulevard and was made famous in a TV coffee advert. Taiwan is a very beautiful tropical island paradise and once you leave the ultra modern capital of Taipei City the landscape quickly becomes green and mountainous. We took the train down south and it was so beautiful to watch the different shades of green roll by the train window. We were very fortunate to get a room with a view of the rice fields and mountains so I could draw through the window as its way too hot to draw outside here in the summer!
This drawing is an impression of the famous Mr. Brown Boulevard and rice fields that stretch out in front of the mountains.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
