Of all the birds in the world I think chickens are the most over looked. They are bright, each one quite different from the other, with individual personalities and characteristics. Since I moved into the High Peaks everyone seems to have they're own chickens running free through the lanes and paths. I wanted to capture the cheekiness, and beauty of these birds in a fun expressive painting.
Artwork comes framed in a 75mm Bronze floral embossed (high pattern) wooden mold, ready to hang without glass. Oil paintings stay healthiest with air flow over the canvas surface, it also allows you to see the texture of the paint without reflection.
