So I've been experimenting with a different approach to my painting basically starting with a very abstract canvas then working out a painting as I go, this makes my work have a much more loose painterly feel which I really enjoy.

I used to want to be a punk rocker when I was young but I wasn't keen on all the swearing and spitting oh how things have changed! (not really I still hate spitting!) So this painting was born because I was thinking about that and how much I loved their attitude and the way they strut about very much like chickens, just as a side note subconciously I think I want chickens because I seem to be putting a lot of them in my work lately!

Chick magnet has been painted on a standard stretched W18 x 24 inch canvas using acrylics, inks, crayon and pencils there has been a lot of painting and removing paint then painting again to achieve this multi layered effect.

It is sealed with satin varnish and ready to hang, the edges are painted black.
