The city of Chicago never sleeps. It's a place where the sun sets and rises, lights flicker across the sky, and the wind weaves through the streets.

To capture this feeling in a painting, I used spray paint on canvas to create an impressionistic scene brimming with vibrant color. The central focus is a street illuminated by flashing lights in yellow, orange, and brown; orange glows from traffic signals; and blue reflections from puddles. The background is a tapestry of reflective surfaces—windows, cars, buildings—that blend into one another, mirroring light from one surface to the next.

The painting portrays a view of Chicago at sunset, but it also conveys my feelings about life in this city: its constant change, its perpetual evolution, and the myriad ways to find happiness amid all that transformation.
