A walk in Chicago takes me to a bar, a former warehouse. I am struck by the water cistern on the roof, both iconic and nostalgic, its shape reminiscent of a film set. I am happy to be in America again, in this vast land, in the setting of my dreams. I feel free, alive, keen to explore the Metropolis with its elevated trains that cut through Art Deco skyscrapers, and its seemingly endless districts. This work is full of American atmosphere, fresh and alive with colour and light. A perfect souvenir, an ideal gift.

Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
