A small landscape study trying to use elements of light and dark...Using common motifs found in landscapes that can create a dividing line between light and shade. The typical mountains for example are a perfect picture of dark and light in a very literal sense, one side being dark the other the light.

Every aspect of this painting has been chosen for its play with light such as the water, trees and sky.
