In anticipation of Spring, I made this painting from studies made last year. Little is more beautiful than a blossoming Cherry tree in Spring. A fleeting moment of intense, inspiring beauty and joy as the winter is over and longed for Summer is around the corner. Edinburgh's Georgian New town is full of many tree lined crescents and parks, and this one is St Bernard's crescent, Edinburgh.
