Original artwork description:

In March from my studio window opens a beautiful view of the garden with a lushly blossoming cherry tree. Usually, we travel a lot and only this year we've spent a lot of time at home because of the lockdown. That's why I have finally had a chance to paint this wonderful view. Despite the small size of the picture and fairly free technique, I worked on it for several days. Due to the unpredictable March weather, the lighting changed frequently, the sun gave way to rainy clouds and at some point, it seemed to me that I could not finish the painting awaiting the necessary lighting before the short-lived petals fell. But fortunately, I succeeded. In this painting, I tried to capture the atmosphere, the variability of colors and light, the liveliness of nature. I did not try to make a picture closer to the snapshot, deliberately simplifying some details, approaching in some sense to abstraction. But it’s also important for me to preserve visual recognition of nature as it is in reality.
