Artwork description:

Spring is definitely in the air when cherry trees are in bloom, with blossom so lusciously pink and so heady. Clambering through this riot of colour, a bear cub gazes at a yellow butterfly as a couple of bees collect pollen above.

This 6 colour silkscreen is printed on Somerset satin, a heavyweight 300 gram handmade paper from St Cuthbert's Mill in Somerset. The print is created by printing each colour separately, gradually building up the image.

Materials used:

water-based silkscreen inks on heavyweight handmade paper
