Original artwork description:

A slice of underground life in Lyon.

I was on my way to get some boards cut for my paintings, (coincidentally this painting may be on one of those very boards) the metro station slid into view and a delicious red dominated the window that I was gormlessly gazing out of. It was as if a tableau had been arranged only for me, the colour, the positions of my fellow Lyonnais, the framing.

I quickly fumbled for my phone to capture the scene, knowing it would eventually spill into reality as a painting.

Oil and acrylic on board, ready to hang!
