Original artwork description:

I wanted to create a masculine picture, so I started with understated tones and added a pipe, a tie, a stuffed arm chair and - of course - the basset hound. The title implies she's a female. By sitting in his chair is she showing her devotion by surrounding herself with his scent...or is she trying to usurp him?

This is a fairly small piece that comes framed with UV glass. I don't like sending glass and in my new pieces I plan to use plexiglass; but I think the frame works so well I want to include it.

I had to unframe it to photograph it and as usual there are no loose edges or fading. I use the finest papers and glues and allow pieces time to dry under weights. My collages are meant to last for generations.
