White African rhino. In the image details, you'll see the photo the artist took that inspired the painting. Seconds later this white rhino picked up speed and so safety rather than photography became the prime concern. Ann Gadd has used the reds and oranges which aptly reflect the vibrancy of the Africa she loves. A keen wildlife photographer, Gadd spends many hours in the bush and translates the images into paintings. The symbols are African in origin and mean things such as "hope," "courage," "protection," "teamwork," etc. Through using them in her work her paintings fill the hanging space with positive energy.
