Original artwork description:

A dramatic, richly hued surrealist painting, where the clothes of an unknown character float, empty, in a shadowy void.
This painting was inspired by folklore and the archetypal characters that appear in ancient stories and fairytales, who seem so mysterious and untouchable, seemingly buried in the obscurity of the past.
I began this work by painting the garments, using several layers of glazing to create the rich, vibrant colours, then built up the background in bluish black.

This canvas is stretched onto a wooden frame and ready to hang, as can be seen in the images at left.
