Inspired by the tragic wildfire of summer 2022, which burned over 2,200 hectares of moorland and forest, this painting pays homage to the symbolic strength of the chapel St-Michel in the Monts d’Arrée Brittany France, spared against all odds. It evokes both the fragility in the face of destruction and the luminous hope that can arise from it.
A medium-sized artwork, created with acrylic on cotton canvas, captures a striking moment of light and resilience. The Saint-Michel Chapel, resplendent and untouched, emerges at the center of the composition, bathed in an almost supernatural glow.
