Original artwork description:

Castello di Amorosa is a winery located near Calistoga, California. You can see the Chapel on the way to the winery.

Materials used to create this work:
Oil paint on oil primed Claessens Belgian linen canvas mounted on 1/8 MDF archival RayMar art panel, finished with melamine backing that prevents warping and deterioration. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.

I used thick layers of oil paint and short brush strokes to indicate the rough texture of the walls and highlight the brightness of the flowers in front of the chapel.

Painting is unframed and requires a frame to hang. It will easily fit in the standard (USA) 12"x16" frame.
