This work is second in a series of paintings where I took a simpler approach to paint just my love for the nature that I know. There is no politics or irony here. This painting is an early move on my part to move beyond post-modernism in a typically meta-modern way. Matisse's example helped me paint pine needles back lit in the sky (difficult lol).
