Where I live on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds it is possible to see for many miles over the flatter land south towards Boston and west towards Lincoln. I am fascinated by the structure of the high hedges and their woven silhouette against the sky. They have an elegance which I have tried to capture here.

This little image was also inspired by the changing skies and the subtle layers visible in the landscape.

Painted on linen 2015. Signed and dated on the lower edge of the canvas as well as on the reverse.
Painted around the edge of the canvas so it is ready to hang.
