Hi, this is the second in the Paris series. It is a realist painting of the Arc fro about 1/2 mile away during the evening. I was inspired by the beautiful colours in the twilight sky.
There is a great contrast between the cool tones of the pavement and the yellows and res just above the horizon; trying to capture this essence, I have exaggerated the intensity of the Reds and purples.
