Original artwork description:

Rather a confrontational figure....... Challenge Me! is a robust and sensuous female figure, curvaceous and assertive. She enjoys her womanly curves and rhythms and defies anyone to censor her.

She is made using stoneware paperclay, with coils to construct the form, which I then beat with a stick until I see the movement in the form that I want. The way the curves rotate round the form is important and I work on a revolving turntable, checking the silhouette all the time to make sure the form has validity all the way round.
Fired to stoneware temperatures, this figure can be displayed in the home or in the garden. She will need a crate for transport which I can arrange.

Materials used:

Stoneware paperclay with oxides and slips
