Many species of this group are characterized by a bright color with a metallic sheen. A distinctive feature is the notches on the sides of the elytra, through which the wings are released during flight, while the elytra themselves remain folded. Most of the species are found in the tropics. Beetles feed on flowers of plants or flowing tree sap, overripe and fermented fruits, can act as pollinators.

Details: Each work is signed on the back. The painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Shipment details: Supplied in a cardboard box. The painting is covered with acid-free glassine paper, wrapped in bubble wrap, sealed in plastic, sandwiched between two pieces of foam or corrugated cardboard shipping inserts and placed in a strong shipping box.
