Artwork description:

Deep teal abstract seascape, bright colourful and modern. This abstract is moody, taken on a rainy day and yet captures the colours of the small islands in the north of Scotland.

Title: A Whisper in the Rain

This is from my latest trip to the Isle of Harris in November 2022. The late season light and rain allowed me to capture some amazing shots of the sun shining through the clouds. Like a prism, the colours seem to split into all shades of blue, teal, green and lilac. This gorgeous image is going to look amazing on the wall in this large size but is also available in smaller sizes and on paper if preferred.

Available in other sizes and on paper.

About My Work
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured Canson Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.

About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper and canvas for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.

Other Sizes
This print is available in other sizes on canvas or paper. I am happy to take custom orders, just drop me a line.

A Note on Canvases
Canvases are unframed and unmounted, they need to be stretched or framed once you get them. They are matte varnished and come with 2 inch (5cm) white border for the sides of the frame. Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery.
