Original artwork description:

Ceramic Mask One on stand is a unique artwork sculpture made with stoneware clay and oxides. From my study of the many traditions of masks made for disguise, performance or entertainment, I create my own style which plays with the infinite variety of human expressions. The surface is textured, unglazed but sealed. The sculpture is permanently fixed to a handcrafted solid steel rod and base.
Also available, is a companion piece, Ceramic Mask Two.

Materials used:

stoneware clay, iron oxides and glaze, solid steel rod and base
