Original artwork description:

The eyes in this work follow and watch you from any angle, just as the emotions and responsibilities of motherhood continue to follow us through the decades. This painting was done from historical photos in an archive of a Native American museum. It was one entry into an invitational exhibition held at a university in western Washington in honor of the Washington state centennial. The show was about contemporary women artists depicting real women from Washington state history. This painting has a custom wood frame with a linen liner.
